For a number of years, our Liquid Metal Coatings have been used on projects for leading shop fitters, hotels and restaurants to provide innovative, unique and beautiful liquid metal solutions for a number of key clients.

BATHTUB PROJECT

One of our favourite projects completed for a private client who was looking for a completely bespoke metal coating for the outside of their Claw-Footed Bathtub. After careful consultation with the Client the bathtub was coated in a bespoke metal mix which was configured exactly to their specification.

The final piece sits in the master bathroom and provides the perfect centerpiece for the suite, fitting seamlessly with the other sanitaryware and fittings in the room. Needless to say the Client was delighted with the final piece.

NEO RESTAURANT

NEO is a charming Art-Deco themed restaurant, situated in the heart of Bournemouth. Working in partnership with our sister company TEKNE, who were the main contractors, the bar top was finished using our copper liquid metal coating along with a bespoke patina finish. The near full circle bar and waiter station tops, as well as a number of handles and lighting elements were also finished in the same way to provide strong focal points throughout the restaurant.

TOM HILL - ON POINT GARDEN

Liqui-Met worked with Landscape Garden Designer Tom Hill to create several items for Tom’s entry into the inaugural RHS Ascot Garden Show in April 2018. Tom’s design ‘On Point’ required several items to be finished in a liquid metal coating and then aged to tie-in with the design.

Using the XT formulation of binder, the two large monoliths were made from Tricoya MDF, then coated with Liqui-Met Copper and then finished with a verdigris patina to Tom’s specification. A similar verdigris finish was achieved on the fence panels used around the perimeter of the garden using Liqui-Met on top of CNC’d MDF board before applying a patina.
